New Restaurant Opens at Indoor Sports Center

The Rockford Park District is pleased to welcome a new restaurant to the Indoor Sports Center (ISC), 8800 E. Riverside Blvd., Loves Park. San Jose is leasing the space in the upper- level Skybox at ISC and will offer Spanish/Mexican food along with an expanded menu, different from San Jose's other two locations in Rockford.

San Jose will be open at ISC the following days:
• Monday – Closed
• Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - 4 p.m. to close
• Saturday – 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Sunday - 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

San Jose is owned by Luis Lopez, Edger Marriquis, and Jose Zamora. Zamora said, "We are thrilled to be selected to open a restaurant in this popular sports tourism destination and plan to offer a very distinctive menu with a lot of familiar favorites. We will hold a Grand Opening celebration at a later date."

In August, the Rockford Park District began looking for a restauranteur with whom to partner and to operate this great location. ISC is easily accessible as it's located off I-90 and has a great patio space, allowing guests the option to dine outdoors. "In 2014, Indoor Sports Center, along with our Sportscore Complexes, were the top-visited sites in Rockford, meaning over 2.8 million people visited these locations," said David Spencer, Park District Operations Director.

The Rockford Park District has not yet selected a restauranteur to operate the restaurant space located in the new downtown sports facility.
